Tuesday, Jan 21, 2025
10:30am – 3:00pm
This summer Explore Outdoor is offering a wide range of sessions across Suffolk to support families entitled to free school meals.
We have 3 programmes running throughout the holidays in West Suffolk and we are encouraging families to book onto all three of these events!
Terrible Tales at West Stow Anglo Saxon Village and Country Park (Children must be aged between 8-11 years)
In a summer activity hosted by heritage officers from the West Suffolk Heritage Service and Explore Outdoor, children will be treated to tours of the Anglo-Saxon Museum, reconstructed Village and the Beowulf and Grendel Trail that aim to explore the great, the gross and the gruesome of Anglo-Saxon life.
Participants will also have the chance to enjoy a lunch supplied by Mobile Pizza Co as well as a talk by them about the ingredients that go into their food. In the afternoon participants are invited to try their hand at archery in the afternoon, to finish off a day of fun history and activities.
